In memory of Christine Henderson

Helene Moran 13th September 2019

Story

Our lovely mum passed away on the 5th September 2019. For over 15 years she battled a range of different lung problems. Never one to accept a poor diagnosis, she has coped with various illnesses with grit and determination.

She was ill for a long time and there were many times when we thought we were close to the end. When things looked particularly bleak, she was helped with new medications and also by taking existing drugs in different ways. This wouldn't be possible without the work of the British Lung Foundation who have been at the heart of lung disease research for the last 30 years. They have also been a really useful source of practical information - giving advice on lots of boring day-to-day things which can make a massive difference to quality of life.

We are heartbroken and will miss her beyond words. Many people have asked where donations can be made in her name. We know she would have wanted us to arrange a collection for the British Lung Foundation, a cause that has long been close to her heart.
